I've been telling you all along, This guy is a joke, and the Tennessee Democratic Party lost a great chance to unseat a republican incumbent (and possibly one of the few seats needed for Filibuster free control of the Senate.)

9-11 Part 2: The history

We all remember what happened that day. Whether you think it was a vast conspiracy by the government; or whether you think it was a vast failure; one thing is a fact. We have yet to find a solution to the problem.

7 years later, We have not captured Bin-Laden.

7 years later, the Taliban are re-appearing in Afghanistan.

7 years later, we have started a war in Iraq, and are focusing a majority of our forces there.

7 years later, we are losing the war in Afghanistan because of a lack of military presence.

7 years later, you and I have had our rights trampled under presidential foot.

7 years later, Both Democrats and Republicans in the congress have failed to address any of the issues brought forth on 9-11.

Changes in National Security (though meagerly laughable at best) are the only advance we have made that would ensure our safety after 9-11.

Theres more to it than just that.

Benjamin Franklin once said "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." It could easily be interpreted to also mean that we shall LOSE liberty and Safety if we give up ANY Essential Liberties and Safeties.

Metro Councilman Eric Crafton is at it again. Would it surprise any of you that he is stating that this bill/petition is actually intended to ease government operations in Nashville.

I don't know where Mr. Crafton gets his information, or what he thinks this miracle bill will do, but it will not change all non-english speakers into fluent speakers.

Ask any teacher outside of the U.S. English is one of the HARDEST languages to learn as a second language. The only other languages that are harder to learn are Japanese, (with 3600 characters)Chinese, and Korean.

So Mr. Crafton, where's the magic button? whats the secret trick that's going to teach all of our Latino migrant workers to speak English instantaneously? What is so hard about printing our documents in different languages?

If this is about keeping English as the main language used in America (or Nashville Specifically)Then the question arises... Why? Legal matters?

Our constitution, and all of our legislation is written in English. We don't need laws that will create outcasts. We need laws that allow those who come from a different culture to meld into our culture. Prop 271 and an English First (or only... same difference)bill will be the downfall of an American tradition. The Melting pot, not the restaurant, the ideal...

Be smart when you get this petition. Throw it away.

A Pitbull in Lipstick...

Wow. If I didn't have a little bit of class I would be using terms that start with B to describe this lady, but I'll stick to the high ground.

So with McCain/Palin we can look forward to Palin being McCain's attack dog. No wonder she made the pitbull comment.

I can't wait for her to debate Biden. He's highly capable of serving her her first born with little effort.

Being that he has already said he will not hold any punches in the debate, we can expect it to be a good one.

Comin' out guns a blazin!

Well, for the past two days I have been accused of running a covert attack campaign on behalf of my family against Bob Tuke. Since the accusations should be warranted, I figured the least I could do is make it a point to prove why Bob Tuke is not a viable candidate, and why he should NOT be elected to the U.S. Senate.

Dependent on how much the foolish bigger blogs run with it, the further I'll go...

Lets start off small. Here are the facts:

1)Tuke cannot compete with Lamar Monetarily. From Tuke's own campaign page. "Lamar Alexander? Well, he's taken over $360,000 from PACs and executives from Big Oil." Further down " we need to raise $10,000 in the next two weeks to help combat Lamar's Big Oil money"

While this is a tactic worth utilizing; $360,000 > $10,000... That said this tactic could work, but Bob is going to have to set his goals a little higher. Basic mathematics tells you this is one failure.

2)Inactive campaigning leads to loses. No news since August 19th. In a political campaign against an incumbent 'no news' is always 'bad news'.

3) Lastly, Tuke has no new advertising, No new signage, and to be quite frank; no following outside of the TNDP inner circles. At least not enough of one to unseat Lamar.

Mr. Tuke might be an alright guy (though I don't think he's that great considering his short fuse...) and he may be a good option for the Senate, but he's not really interested in winning. If he was, he'd be actively campaigning, and raising all of the money he can.

Remember, I'm a Democrat, Voting for Obama/Biden. And I have zero hope in Bob Tuke. Lamar is going to mop the floor with him.

Hell, Gary Davis came damn close to doing it in the Primary.

I PERSONALLY still think Tuke is a joke. Until his campaign pays my salary, I will continue to think he's a joke.

Bob Tuke is a joke; and he has done nothing to earn my vote.

Now that the primary is over... him calling my father and saying he was a "low life lying son of a bitch" while my father was trying to explain our press release to him, SCREAMING into the phone like a crazy person... And the Dem's fell for it. Enjoy your crazy candidate. I hope you all read this again when he starts his run for governor soon...

Run with it guys... You know you want to... (specially since good ol' Bob isn't doing anything worth covering.)

This is a joke right? Isn't McCain supposed to be focused on getting more votes? Choosing a rookie to the sport of politics, is a bit 'loony', even if that rookie is Tom Brady... Presidential politics is not a proper level to introduce a newcomer to the game.

I really hope the 'Hillary! or McCain!' ladies don't fall for this ploy.

on speculation, I would NOT be surprised if this were a political tactic, meant to throw people off the trail of McCains real V.P. pick (rice? Powell? feel free to speculate with me!) and grab at the heart strings of already heartbroken Hillary voters by bringing in another female candidate.{on a side note... interesting the Republicans won't run a female candidate for Pres. but they will for second in command... still the "equality" party?}

Oi. this has caused my brain to hurt for more than a few days... One good thing... If the ticket stays the same... Obama is guaranteed a win!

P.s. She is kinda hot for an older lady though... Makes you wonder who McCain's NEXT mistress would be...

Better Late Than Never...

Obama/Biden 2008!

Of course I support good ol' Joe Biden as Barack's VP... Nice to see political savvy is still somewhat alive in the veins of the DNC. Biden is the perfect candidate simply for the amount of experience, and his lack of a filter (for is opinions and his mouth) is something the Democratic party has needed for the last 20 years.

This team may have some skeletons in their closet, but I believe the positives FAR outway the Negatives.

Biden and Obama are a perfect balance of the Democratic Equation.

Tuke Testing the Waters

Call it Speculation...
Call it envy...
call it what you want to call it...

But...

I believe Bob Tuke is wasting our time and hopes by running against Lamar for Senate. Just like during the Primary, he is not actively campaigning. Mr. Tuke is testing to waters to run as a replacement for Governor Bredesen.

Nice to know that Tennessee has that great of a candidate; screwing the state out of logical representation on the federal level, to see how well he would do in a race for the governor's seat.

I'm not sure if we should be thanking Mr. Tuke for this waste of a campaign, or the media outlets throughout the state for not covering a major political race.

The small victories, the cankers and medallions, they keep me thinking that someday...I might beat you...

So.

I have lost a lot of faith in Tennessee.

Not because Tuke won. Congrats to him for having the most connections and best ability to convince the people he's the right man. However, I will be voting for Lamar, or an Independent this year, as Mr. Tuke does NOT represent ANY of my views.

I've lost faith in this state because of this:

Mark Clayton: 32,267

Did 32,267 Tennesseans wake up, slap on their Aluminum Foil Hats and march out to proudly vote for their candidate? (Clayton is the candidate who claims that the "Communist Chinese Government" tried to hack his campaign page.)

Or worse...

Did these Tennesseans intentionally vote for their county offices, and then just chose the first name on the list for the unknown election?

No vote is much better than an uninformed vote. This same logic could explain Mr. Davis' and even my Father's high vote numbers. (though I like to believe that at least 14,000+ Tennesseans appreciated and approved of my fathers issues)

I'll give Mr. Davis a little more credit than other bloggers. He may have truly won many of these votes with a great message. HOWEVER, there logically has to be a LARGE chunk of those votes who had NO CLUE who they were voting for; assuming many thought they were voting for Either Lincoln or David Davis.

Oy vey. I can't believe at least 40,000 votes were wasted...

I am however extremely pleased with 14,681 of you. I thank you for your support of my father, and I wish you and yours the best in the future. I am truly grateful for you and your efforts to get my father elected to represent Tennessee in the U.S. Senate. Hopefully, either myself or my father can ask for your support again in the future!

First Order of Business, Presidential picks.

I have removed my previous post, because as expected my two favorite underdogs are out of the race (well one is officially, the other it seems hasn't noticed yet). As such, I'm not going to keep my opinion to myself. I Choose Barack Obama. I have no qualms with Hillary, as a matter of fact I am a HUGE fan of the Clinton family and will HAPPILY push the Vote button for Hillary, I hope Barack gets the chance. I guess I'm just further proving I'm a dreamer when it comes to politics, but hey "I'm not the only One"...

Any who short paragraph shorter, I'm voting for the Democratic Nominee.

Second Order Of Business, Kenneth Eaton For U.S. Senate.

While It seems that the support is NOT flowing in from the blogger community (which was expected) It does seem that my candidate is getting some backing from local political groups. The bloggers may have an issue with Mr. Eaton, but it seems the Democratic Leadership (in part) does not.

I will not be commenting further on this blog on Mr. Eaton as everyone should know where I stand on this particular candidate. I will not allow the blogging community to utilize MY PERSONAL blog to set a precedence of bias in their little spheres of influence. I will however, still be responding to your posts about my father, so let the fun commence!

Last Order of Business, I do have a life.

I am the father of a young boy, and as such I have to do things beyond working and blogging. As such, I will still be posting, but DO NOT expect daily updates. If my job situation should change to where I am available/allowed to post blogs, I will get back into the swing of posting more. Until that time, be happy with the little bit you get (after all ladies and gentlemen... Moderation is key to a good life).
